let's share some secrets

Well, technically this is not a secret anymore since I am posting it on here for plenty of eyes to read (some of which I don't even know). But guess what? I decided to be a little adventurous and really step outside my box. Guess where I will be moving to for the next few months? Do you give up? Relax, I will tell you already. Or how about I even show you. In a few weeks I will be moving to this beautiful city. Nice, France







Amazing right? But don't worry. I might actually start to keep up with my blog for once and document my adventures. I have never been to this romantic country before, but am fully aware that I will fall in love with the place. I better start getting in touch with my French roots. Luckily, I landed in Palm Springs earlier today and get to spend some quality time learning all about that side of my family from Grandma Green. To Grandmother's house we go!

First, you will have to forgive me for my blogging absence. Life seems to have taken over these past few weeks/months. Recently, I have returned from a nice trip back to the homefront. I had multiple excuses to find my way back to beautiful California. Last Sunday, the 49ers took on the Cardinals & I got to go see the man of my fancy play. My sister Marlee & my new brother-in-law Tyler live just outside the city... so even more of an excuse to go right? I haven't really seen Tyler & Marlee since their wedding this summer, which is too long of an absence for me. We even got to celebrate Tyler's birthday with family & friends. It was just what the doctor ordered.

once upon a full moon,

Summertime in Utah has always been one of my favorites. There is something I love about the mountains, the dry summer sun, watermelon, and just about everything else. Sundance Ski Resort does a thing called the Full Moon Lift during the summer once a month. We got a group of friends together to enjoy one of the last lifts of the summer.

Last weekend, my sweet sixteen year old cousin went to her first high school dance. With the help of my friend Jordan, we got her & two other of her friends ready. We snapped a few photos & the girls looked beautiful.

another Friday night celebration,

I am pretty sure I have been to more weddings this summer than anyone I know. Most of them have just been within the family. Like I said before, my big brother got married two weeks ago. I flew out to California a few days ago to help with their second reception. It was a cute little August summer night garden reception. Some of Anna's family made it out & we got to spend a few fun days getting to know them better. It was a blast to say the least. It was the first time I saw Tyler & Marlee since they moved to California & it was so great to all be reunited under the same roof. Now, I am just soaking up my last few days home before I head back to Utah & hit the books.

My trainer Rob may be one of the coolest guys I know. When he told me about the Ramsi Reed Foundation (his friend's little daughter) I couldn't help but read all about it. After seeing her darling face, I don't know how anyone could not want to help. Ramsi is diagnosed with a Mitochondrial Disease & has not even hit her fifth birthday. There will be a benefit dinner/auction for the Ramsi Reed Foundation to help Ramsi & other families like hers suffering from Mitochondrial Diseases. If you can attend this, I highly recommend it. If you can't, any donation helps. So spread the word so we can try & help this adorable little one, along with others.

the night before I gained a sister,

My charming brother Chad got married two weekends ago to the most darling/sweetest/beautiful girl ever (Anna). They will really be doing the world a favor someday when they have cute little brown babies. The night prior to the wedding we had a rehearsal dinner at Anna's house for the family & wedding party. A few toasts were given, a few tears were shed, & smiles filled their adorable backyard. I couldn't be happier with the new addition to our family.

Tea time?

Since I was a little girl, I have always loved to find reasons to dress up. Tonight my friend Grace had her bachelorette party & the theme was: Tea Party. Perfect right? It was held in my friend Jordan's gorgeous backyard that overlooks the city. The girls did such a wonderful job with everything & we definitely had our share of fun.

"the British are coming,"

Saturday night, I got a surprising phone call that some of my dearest friends from London had made their way to the States! Normally, I only get to Skype the Urie family around once a week.. so when they come we have the best time. So Saturday night, we made our way for some shopping at the Gateway in Salty City, & ended the evening at the drive-ins. I couldn't be more excited to be reunited with some of my old & dearest friends.

I am back in beautiful San Diego. My family got in today & we spent the day soaking up some UV rays, eating the best food, & making some great friends. Sadly, this little beaut above got a pretty crazy sunburn. Let's just say her skin matches the coral pink dress I was wearing by the end of the night. Bless her heart. Hopefully the aloe will kick in before the big day tomorrow!
