Stew had the opportunity to share his talents and good taste by designing his parents' remodel last year. It was amazing to see the transformation and how his vision all came together. I must admit I will miss searching for light fixtures and furniture with him, but am looking forward to doing it all for our place. The end result was magazine worthy...literally. In this month's edition of Utah Style Magazine his work is featured both on the cover and in the magazine. If you grab your own you can see his work and the metamorphosis!

Honeymoon post 3

Tuesday, 19 March 2013

I thought we were going to stay in Sydney for the last two weeks of the honeymoon, but Stew had another secret up his sleeve. When we were on our way to return the rental car we had gotten for a few days, I was trying to explain to Stew that I thought we were lost. We were on our way to the airport but the map suggested the car rental place elsewhere. Stew told me to pull out the itinerary to check which airline we would be flying on! He pulled one over my head once again. We flew to Hamilton Island for the last week of our stay in Australia. It was BEAUTIFUL. We stayed at the beautiful Qualia Resort. Other than getting seasick, the week was wonderful. We went scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, had a picnic on a private island, and pizza on the harbor. I don't have a lot of pictures there because I was sick in bed for a few days, but I hope these will do!

Honeymoon post 2

Sunday, 10 March 2013

After Stew & I left the Blue Mountains, we spent a week in Sydney, Australia. It was a completely different way to see the country. It took some adjusting to get used to driving on the left side of the road with the drivers seat on the right side of the car, but once we got a hang for it we loved adventuring through the beautiful city. We stayed at a place called The Establishment Hotel which might possibly be one of the coolest buildings I have ever seen. It is an old brick factory in the back of an alley filled with restaurants and bars on every floor with a different design and feel. Our first night in Sydney we found our favorite restaurant, Mr. Wong. It was right next to our hotel & was the best Cantonese food I have ever had in my life. We loved it so much we went back, several times. Also in Sydney we made sure to head to the amazing Taronga Zoo, and did the beautiful walk from Coogee beach to Bondi, went to the art museum, & even got to go to an opera at the famous opera house! I fell in love with the city, the style, the design, the food & so much more. I am crossing my fingers for an excuse to visit the beautiful place one again.

Bridal Photo Shoot

Friday, 8 March 2013

Between honeymoon posts I thought I would share some pictures from our bridal photo shoot. The one and only Ciara Richardson was our photographer. You should check out her stuff if you haven't already. You will fall in love with her work. You can access her website here.We couldn't have been happier with ours. We were so nervous we would look freezing in the photos, because the temperature outside was 11 degrees Fahrenheit. But of course Ciara worked her magic and here they are, happy and all. Here is a sneak peak!

Down Under, Honeymooning Part One

Tuesday, 5 March 2013

You probably are recognizing all the changes. I have a new name, a new blog, & a husband. My recent nuptials will have to excuse my two month leave of absence. Everything went better than imagined, & don't worry I will be sure to post PLENTY of pictures. I am still waiting to get them all back, but I promise once I do I will share. I figured I would attempt to start the upkeep on my blog with my recent move to Phoenix. I am away from all my family & friends, starting a new adventure but could not be happier. I wanted to start sharing some of the honeymoon photos, because there will have to be several posts due to the amount of pictures. So, let me explain a few things as I go... My handsome husband Stew kept our honeymoon destination a secret for seven whole months. And a well kept one at that.... I did not find out until it was time to go. He couldn't have surprised me more than with a trip to the beautiful AUSTRALIA. I had always wanted to go there so I was naturally ecstatic. We made the long flight from LAX to Sydney, and immediately got into a car for a three hour drive to the Blue Mountains. Our first portion of the trip was a five day stay at the beautiful Wolgan Valley. Secluded in the valley and outback, it was just what the doctor ordered. It was so beautiful and tranquil.   One of my favorite things was sitting on the deck eating breakfast while watching the kangaroos hop around just a few feet away. I completely fell in love with the place. In the pictures below it shows a little around where we stayed, a horseback ride we did one morning, a picnic in the middle of the valley, and a hike we did at the Glow Worm Tunnel (yes, the worms all glow in the dark in the tunnel). Enjoy!
