The most talented people I know,

Thursday, 30 June 2011

I have the pleasure of knowing the rediculously talented artists in the video above. Book on Tapeworm may just be favorite band around these days. There is no question Scott Shepard & Emily Brown both have a serious set of pipes. Everytime I find a video of them I find myself hitting repeat about 50 times. The Occidental Saloon makes some spectacular videos, but this one takes the win for my liking.

We all scream for ice cream,

My sister might kill me for posting this, but I couldn't resist. Our friend Yasmine started up this new vintage website with all her treasures. We met her while shopping at her family-owned store Vintage YSJ. We fell in love with them, & the clothes they sell. Marlee modeled for Yasmine's new website she just launched called BTMV & I just had to post these pictures. She is just too much of a babe not to right? I am warning you now...if you go to the website have your credit card on hand. Some of these gems are just too hard to pass by.

Double the weddings, double the fun

Sunday, 12 June 2011

I am back in California & happy to report that sister's wedding was a hit. Everything about it was pretty much perfect. I eat, drink, & breathe weddings these days. Marlee got married this past Thursday & I hit the road the next morning to make it back to Sacramento for one of my best friend's receptions. Twice the bridesmaid. At this rate, I might beat Katherine Heigl in "27 Dresses".

& there were grinning parents everywhere

Sunday, 5 June 2011

I have always been a fan of the theatre, especially when adorable little faces are involved. This past Friday night, I was lucky enough to be invited to see Albert Schweitzer Elementary's K-3 production of "Alice in Wonderland". Sammie, (my best friend's little sister), is in the third grade so this was her last year in the school plays. Her bright personality shown through in her dual roles of the door knob, & Tweedledee. The youngsters were entertaining to say the least. It made me look forward to becoming an aunt someday! I know I know, I am jumping the gun already. My sister needs to get married this week first, then I will start thinking about the minis.
